


In addition to his law practice, Sean Connolly is also a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.
In 1996, Sean graduated from John Carroll University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Chemical Corps. He served on active duty with 3rd Squadron, 4th United States Cavalry Regiment as the Squadron Chemical Officer and then Executive Officer of the Headquarters Troop. Four years later in 1999, Sean left active duty to attend law school and joined the Illinois Army National Guard. The following year, Sean transferred to the United States Army Reserve to serve as Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General of the 416th Theater Engineer Command.
In 2003, Sean was deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism; he served in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan and received the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sean is a superior graduate from the United States Army War College and he currently serves as the Commander of the 117th Legal Operations Detachment, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
